Some shop views

Inventory is always changing so the shop looks different weekly.

This first photo is looking to the right or south as you enter. Some of the items are, the large neo-classical style mirror. An iron console, which is one of a pair, the other one is on the north side of entry. There's a small Venetian style chest. A small 19th century Venetian mirror. Mounted sea fans, nautilus shells, and some beautiful crystals are on the console. Also there is a wonderful enamel tole and copper chandelier of tulips in a pot.

This is the north side of entry. You will see an 18th Century European carved marble Armorial wall plaque. There is a lovely oil painting by Michel Henry. On the iron console is a pair of bronze boy figures with ducks, and various crystals.

As you walk straight into the shop you will see and 18th century oak chest, with a pair of 19th century Louis XVI giltwood Faueteuils on either side.  On top are a pair of carved wood stands, and a wonderful old 18th century Italian marble lion head water spout.

Here is a close-up of the lion's head. He has a wonderful patina and is very smooth to touch.

A little further back in the shop you will see a lovely 17th century Italian walnut Credenza, flanked by a pair of French arm chairs. On top of the Credenza is a pair of bronze candelabra.
The painting is early 19th century.

This is just a sampling of items we have.

Thank you for stopping by and do come back.

Welcome

Welcome to J & M Antiques

We hope that you will enjoy your visit and will come back again.

Jerry and Maureen started this venture many years ago. Jerry was traveling to antique shows in the beginning, then opened this shop on Antique Row in West Palm Beach, FL circa 1995.

I have been manager for the past 15 1/2 years. The shop is between Southern Blvd. and Belvedere Rd. on So. Dixie Hwy. Either of those roads will take you to or from Palm Beach International Airport, and many people have stopped by Antique Row before heading off to places around the world, or on arrival to our area.

I have been told many, many times over the years that the shop is one of the best on Antique Row. Jerry really has an eye for buying antiques and for setting up the shop. It is like a museum, but with the option to buy what you see.

If you are ever in our area, do stop in. You won't be disappointed. There are roughly 50 shops on Antique Row.

You can also visit at www.jmantiques.1stdibs.com to see individual items.

Sincerely ~ Lorraine
